Admittedly there have been a FEW times when a person with a concealed weapons permit has unwisely used his firearm and a tragedy resulted.

So far in the 25 years that the law has existed a total of 168 concealed weapons permits have been revoked because of a crime involving the use of a firearm after the license was issued. Not all involved a shooting.

Despite all the predictions from the gun control groups Florida has not turned into the "West West" with shootouts at every intersection and at high noon on Main Street.
