Thank you for sharing your story. I have been looking at posts with many views and yours fit the bill. It was a long read but I am glad I read it.

I am astonished at your story, and I cannot lie that it surprises me as I do visit Canada fairly often. For what it is worth, I can tell you that if you still are part of this community: I believe you. Your story makes sense as much as it is "shocking" as per your name it is obvious you care a heck of a lot about your situation, this is understandable.

Have you tried contacting American Civil Rights groups? Such as the ACLU or the like. They might be able to assist you. Without a doubt you should be pursuing legal representation, I admire you sharing this and I feel for you, but you have to find a way to challenge this. Stories like yours have to be heard or others will face the same problem one way or another. Media outlets, blogs, twitter, facebook, everything and anything needs to be explored

Finally, I visit family in British Columbia every 2 years or so. I am being sincere when I state that I am going to reconsider doing so, even if it means going every 3 years instead of every second year. I will do my small part to not feed the monster. All the best for you. Please update us, or even just send a message to me and let me know how this all works out for you.
