because the steam catapult didn't power-up fully, and my friend's aircraft crashed into the ocean. The crash rendered him unconscious and he either drowned or died from impact injuries. Poor man's fiancée was overwhelmed with grief and committed suicide. I'm not sure if there was a second officer or RIO or other personnel onboard.

If the EMALS becomes the statistically best method for launch of manned craft, it should be used, no matter the cost. If Dolt45 interferes, I hope the admirals ignore him and do the right thing.
