eliminated them before I became a star member with Firefox's ad block add on. It can also stop videos from auto playing. For a while I was being assaulted with 'earworm' music videos and didn't want to hear them again. Some thought that was funny, but it got old for me.

You can set it up to eliminate all ads from all websites which makes pages load faster. And then release as needed. IDK what other browsers have in the way of ad block, but the one at Firefox is free.

And I know what you mean, at times DU's the most unhappy place on the net. It's always been trolled a lot, but this is now too far. DU will become whatever works for those who own and operate it.

I don't think they ever expected it to be this way and are at a loss for what to do. They got sick of being pulled into every fight between members on DU2 and I can see why they're unwillling to go back. It must have been wearing on them and they finally had it 'up to here' at some point.
