(23,943 posts)I lean towards Bernie, and I would like to see such statements as you suggest in response to #BLM disruptions as well. I don't think he has handled it as horribly as some others seem to feel (perception/perspective is everything, yes?), but he absolutely, positively can do much better.
He's an older white man with what appears to be other white men as his main staffers. He has a steep learning curve for the national stage. I guess I'm guilty of identity politics to a degree: I would much prefer a message and platform of racial, social and economic justice be carried by presidential candidate who is a black, Muslim, gay woman. Alas, she isn't here yet.
