(154,021 posts)I respect your experience, but you will deny mine for ever and ever and ever and ever.
It is ok. You can. I will leave you know with this. I recognize your experience and accept it, but you do not accept what other people tell you.
And that is your problem, not mine. I cannot fix it.
I have unsub from this group. I really do not care to participate online, HERE. I participate ONLINE with my LOCAL LEADERS who I respect deeply, who I consider great people, and who have taught me a lot. You could learn a lot from others. But it is to the point that many of us. some of us are not even white, though you might believe that, will NOT discuss issues of race on DU, and it is becuase of you. Go re-read that thread. Reflect on what some people posted.
Suffice it to say, next time we have (and it will come) another issue where a PoC, either brown or black, is falsely arrested or worst killed, we will be there. Next time we have another issue with the courts, we will be there. We will continue to cover race and poverty and all those issues. And I will continue NOT TO POST THEM at a supposedly progressive site.
You want us to just listen and not interrupt, and not speak of our experience... like being stopped by a cop for speaking with an accent... and being challenged on my citizenship status. by all means. have at it. But any respect I ever had for you as an individual is basically gone.
