37. Decades ago, I had an AA boyfriend who grew up in the Berkshires

He has an oil portrait of his mother--just a sketch, really, but beautiful--by Norman Rockwell, and he said that various members of his family modeled for his paintings.

Thanks for this lovely post. I'm another white woman--also another art major--who looks forward to the day when we don't hold majority status.
