And as another poster said on your thread . . . But with my own nuance.

"Some" people are only comfortable with the black American experience when the narrative includes shoe shine men and laundresses. Or in today's world - black youth on the South side of Chicago or black, single mothers in Camden NJ.

Now Obama wasn't "poor enough" and is being punished for his mother's and grandmother's accomplishments.
