the moment of one's birth. Equality of education. Equality of access to health care. Equality of safety in one's home.

Playing fields are still not level, and it's going to take more than courts to fix this. Institutions that serve the public, from schools to police to public works, libraries as well as private entities like groceries and banks and restaurants and department stores, everyone needs an attitude adjustment.
