Not white schools that had a few black kids bussed in, either. High school we moved and I went to a majority white school. And hated it. Oh well....

My daughter went to a school that was mostly higher income white and Asian families for elementary and middle. Technically diverse, but pretty much everyone, including the administration, exhibited a mind bending amount of entitlement, so not really. She is so much happier at the new high school.

The neighborhood school boundaries are drawn in such a way to include middle class white, one of the most diverse immigrant neighborhoods in the city and middle and working class mixed neighborhoods. Both schools also include partial magnets. All colors, hues and income levels. People mostly know how to act right. They exemplify what I think public school SHOULD be.
