(20,450 posts)44. I was talking about this with a friend the other day because I used to have arguments with Obama
haters, and I would bring up the fact that Howard Dean was damn near a member of the DLC. In fact, he was not really that liberal while governor. He may have done some liberal things because the state he represents is more libertarian.
When I would bring up Dean, they wouldn't care; they just wanted to attack and hate Obama, which is why many of us believe that unconscious or even subconscious racism was a factor there.
