12. My Aunt

Elizabeth Harden Gilmore was my aunt by marriage. She married Virgil Gilmore one of my dads older brothers. We spent a lot of time at the funeral home. She had a police german shepard dog name Chloe that would guard the property at night. I was soo scared of that dog! She often asked me, my brother and sister when we were going to spend a night with her and obviously that did not happen. She also owned a house on the hill. Her daughters name was Betty Harden. I loved to visit her room. Aunt Libby left her room that same as if she was a little girl with the porcelain dolls on the bed. She had the nicest fish aquarium. She also brought is gifts from abroad. I will never forget her long finger nails and red lipstick. She was an amazing lady. She started the boycott in 1958 following a incident at The Diamond when they refused to heat my brothers baby bottle in the cafe! My father, Elmer Gilmore use to help out a the funeral home as well. If I am not mistaken she is buried between Mr. Harden and my uncle Virgil. I am sure I can go on and on but I found this article online and I just wanted to comment on the post.
