what Sanders needed to do to try to get more minority support was have smaller events in minority areas by himself. this would have done a lot more to get him support than appearances with Cornel West and Killer Mike.

this is what Clinton did this time around and it's one reason she did much better in Iowa compared to last time.

Sanders needed to do the same when it came to minority voters. part of the reason is it would have helped him learn from them also. the same way Clinton learned by running for Senate from NY and coming in contact with such a diverse group of people. Candidates learn from voters through small groups.

some of the best moments in campaigns are the smaller events. these also get more dedicated supporters who are very much needed to win on the ground.
