In reply to the discussion: Why was Bernie Sander's audience at Morehouse College, an HBCU, predominantly White? [View all]Digital Puppy
(496 posts)NO ONE calls it "the U Center" (You maybe thinking of "The U" i.e. University of Miami...in Florida)
It's the "AU Center" ... or "AUC" ...
And you seem intent on missing the point of the OP...One would have expected to see more Morehouse students - which happen to be AA Males, but many pictures, videos and folks WHO WERE ACTUALLY THERE did not see as many as one would think.
This is the point of the thread, but you and your friends come in heavy handed and butt-hurt that this interpretation of imagery seems obvious to many that the crowd wasn't "predominantly" ("Mainly"; "Mostly", "Largely", "Chiefly"; "Primarily"
Black.
Get over it, and move on, please. You are embarrassing yourselves.
I'm happy that Bernie visited my Alma Mater and spoke at a venue that has my name on the wall (you can almost see it in the pictures posted!). My friends who were there said the event was a positive one, but that they had hoped that more students of color from the surrounding schools (including Spelman, CAU, Morehouse Med School, ITC, GA State, GA Tech) were in attendance.
Please remember where you are, since truly, your responses have been a "real thing of beauty".
