Did some reading before joining. One of the things that attracted me to DU was how freely people were able to express themselves, quite colorfully at times, and in ways that made my eyes pop open on many occasions, often in admiration and sometimes in astonishment.

What's with all the special snowflakes lately? If something annoys me here, I just move on by.

The requests for jury service have become so frequent that when I get one, my first thought is, "Jeez, another one?"

I don't recall ever having alerted on anything, and have had only one post hidden. I referred to Ann Coulter as "a cold-hearted "rhymes-with-witch," and was shocked at the hide as I was completely unaware that this word is apparently a huge no-no here on DU. I haven't used it again, altho I do stand by my opinion of Ms. Coulter.
