Hello,

I am from and live in London, UK and have just discovered Annie Malone's amazing story. I can't believe it is not more widely known across the world- what a woman!

I just stumbled across her story via C.J Walker, who appears to be the more well known public figure. I still cannot believe Annie Malone is not more widely known and wondered if you could shed light on the reasons for this? As far as I know she moved around a great deal and as her business suffered extreme difficulties towards the later half of her life. I am twenty five years old and this story has astounded me. My inquiry and interest comes form a personal interest in American history.

If anyone had a relative at the PORO school in St.Louis please do let me know, as I would love to know what it was like.

Thanks for sharing such incredible stories.
