(38,169 posts)Racial prejudice and bigotry is universal - in America - Racism is not.
You are mixing up systemic and personal. They are two very different things. I posted down thread a link by Morpheus about how white Americans feel they are oppressed and there is more systemic racism applied towards the dominant culture.
Can you give an example of a systemic oppression of white Americans by Blacks, Natives, Asians, Hispanic/Latinos, Indians, etc etc?
I'll be 41 next month - when I was in University in the early 1990's there were two memes that came from the Republican Party that directly impacted me.
1. Blacks are taking all the slots and financial aid at Universities without merit.
2. Young black women are destroying America by having multiple children out of wedlock, and going on welfare.
Both couldn't be the case. It doesn't make sense. Yet both Gingrich and Buchanan have admitted that those were just two of the memes they used to sweep the house in 1994.
To understand systemic racism - read State of Emergency by Patrick Buchanan. Yes - that Buchanan.
. It's interesting reading because he worked in the Admin that perfected "others are taking from you" for Conservative gain. If it is allowed to continue - in 20 years they will photoshop every single picture in existence of MLK to make him a white man.
We are in a state of emergency here. Most recently for the first black President pointing out that Trayvon Martin could have been his son. We have fallen so far down the rabbit hole that any black American just identifying as black is being morphed into "reverse racism".
