I'm talking about DEFENSE.
Suppressing our ability to defend ourselves.
Example - My Grandfather always voted. He was born at the turn of the last century. His father always voted too - his parents were slaves.
During the second Civil Rights movement he was a known Republican in Alabama. How did he do it? In 1956, 1960, and 1964 those guys in my family went in trucks and they went armed with pistols. In 1964 they voted for LBJ.
That's not an armed rebellion.
It was self defense.
If whites thought you were armed - they would pause before attacking you.
heaven is just about my father's contemporary - he can better explain it . . . As it was his reality.
