i actually think these people probably have a negative view of civil rights because it gets in the way of their "class not race" positions.

The most harsh critics of President Obama, here on DU, have absolutely nothing to say on civil rights issues, except on the areas of privacy and weed (and maybe gay rights, if the happen to be gay).
