(34,648 posts)I agree. I would not call someone a racist over a racially insensitive op, in part because i think i try to chalk it up to ignorance. Alot of people say racist things that they don't know are hurtful, but do not behave that way in practise. I do not know him to know if he is like that at home, i would guess not.
That op stuck with me because i saw it as a right wing tactic, make fun of the blacks and then pretend you don't know what they are talking about. And the POS op. I have no words to describe how that felt like a punch in the gut, but worse. I had really liked that poster, so i felt a bit hurt.
I read it to my family and they told me to stay the hell away from people like that, they are only on their own side and will only be cool until they don't get what they want. They could care less about you and your needs, because it is all about them. That is life.
Black people are not allowed to call it like it is because it might hurt feelings. Our hurt feelings mean nothing in the world. Were are mocked and then told to grin and bear it. I have other things to do, so they can have their playground for themselves. I'll stay back in the quarters for a while.
