I'm angry about all of this. For me it's come down to some unpleasant realizations about what some people around here are. They aren't interested in being anyone's "ally," and their claims of desire for unity are bullshit. We don't exist as human beings to them. That thread claiming if you care about white privilege or rape you're a Koch paid shill shows an astounding level of delusion and self-centeredness. America has grown increasingly reactionary, and that is most evident on issue surrounding racism. The worst of what is said here is as bad as it gets, and the more ordinary stuff isn't terribly pleasant either. I have learned I have no more in common with them than I do any random person on a Yahoo site. I am sorry people like that even exist on this planet let alone claim to be Democrats.
