I am going to concentrate more of my time on outside activities in the community. With the election season coming up and the vote to get Libertarians the right to smoke a joint in public, i should be spending more of my time on community organizing and outreach efforts. Most of our Candidates in my state lean more conservative than i would like, but i suppose i should try to make an effort to feel more excited and knock on some doors.
I can see that me using the words white and old and men in a sentence together plus a negative has caused much anger and frustration among a certain faction. So, unfortunately this place may become a bit more of those three words i may not use together for a time.
I have never felt like my views were controversial in any way. These things i speak of in my journal are things known to people in my neighborhood and are spoken of in black publications all the time and in the hispanic publications that i read.
I think that some people are just not ready to hear things that make them uncomfortable with themselves. As a black person, i hear negative things everyday about the black community spoken from the mouths of white men on a constant basis. I would think that they in turn could handle a bit of critisism as they are so good at dishing it out.
But alas, no. They must alert stalk me for the crime of telling them things they would know if they took a bit a time to ask us? Things they would know if they just took an hour and read The Grio?
Yes America. White men have been oppressing black women for centuries. They are the black woman's burden. And i am standing up and i will arch my back, flex my arms, and shove them off my shoulders. You can't keep a good woman down, baby.
You say you fought for my rights? Then why do you want to deny me my voice? Why shut me up?
You say you have much to teach, i see alot of bitterness and a lack of a positive out look in some and a spark of hope and yes, change in others. I already know how to find the negative in any situation, i refuse to do that in life. If everytime someone said something negative, mean, racist or down right evil about black women i got outraged, i would NEVER stop screaming. I live that. That is being black in America. You are wrong, you are bad, and you better not sass, gal!
When i said that i can't hear any difference between an old liberal and an old republican, i was speaking of things of this nature. They also think that they are the ones being oppressed and discriminated against. By people who look like me.

139. I am sorry for that truly.
I am sorry you are hurt by my words and i want you to know that i have never seen you post anything harmful or hurtful to me. We all suffer the sins of others in our nation.
The woman's burden. It's a shame really, white women just barely got the right to vote and own themselves and now we lump them in with their former oppressors. I do feel bad that i hurt you.
I just cannot think of another way to express what i see.
