I remember asking an older coworker why this one older woman just screeched and screamed at me every chance she got in an office job I had one time at my company.

I was there because I'd been injured on my regular job and was hated for having made more money working with men in the outside jobs. I was puzzled and tried to be nice to her but it didn't work.

He said to me, that she hated me because I was what she had never been, smart, beautiful, gusty and at that time, young. She had an easier go of it at work and all of that, but the sight of me drove her crazy. I was known as the kindest, most loving person there, but his words put things in perspective for me and I just tuned her out from then on.

I agree with you on working more elsewhere than here, as I'm doing the same. This place is steadily turning into trollville and liberation underground. The only reason I don't see much of the dust-ups is my ignore list. I still find people to talk to and I'll miss your posts when I run across them.
