I've been working on a novel for the past 8 months - and it's set during the time of the great flood. A black man was shot by the police for refusing to work without pay - during the time they pretty much enslaved the blacks of Mississippi to put their lives in danger 'stopping the flood' - for wealthy white planters.

In this town meeting - the officials blamed it on him. For wanting the respect and dignity every man/woman wants when he/she puts in a hard days work.

I.E. Getting paid something - anything . . .


Lot of anagrams and tie ins in this book. Way too may 'do overs' the past 9 years.
