i understand that some people really like Obama, but some of the adoration reeks of the "magical" variety, and i am not sure people are aware of it. it's almost like they need to defend the the perfect fantasy, rather than the imperfect man. and given the racism and craziness directed at him from the right, i can understand it...to an extent.
