7. Forty Signs of Rain by Kim Stanley Robinson

This book deals with global warming ,genetic science and MUCH more . KSR is at the top of my list as a favorite author , but if you are looking for an easy uncontroversal read he is definately not for you . EVERYTHING I have read by him has disturded me and made me think in a slightly different way.
