It may be a reference to that comic book time break between the Saviors and the Whisperers - made to look like that 'dream' a lot of fans worry about.
Or - what about Rick dreaming he never woke up from the coma, and none of this happened - and then he wakes up from THAT dream to Walking Dead reality?
