everyone thinks every issue is a "collectable". that is so wrong now. in the old days, there were limited runs, now; millions are printed. nothing is rare.

if they want to recapture readers, print the monthly runs on low quality paper, then making them cheaper to buy. this whole archival museum grade bullshit is nothing more that playing to the fan base. they aren't going to be worth more years from now because so many are printed.

then release limited additions of the same issues on higher quality paper.

the variants do this now, but the variants are astronomical in price.

this let's the readers read at a lower price and the collectors collect their "rare" issues.
