Batwoman: Anyone Else Reading This? If Not, You are Missing Out [View all]

My favorite of the new DC is Batwoman. Not Batgirl. Batwoman. The art and storytelling are amazing. I am reminded of Alan Moore's Promethea, especially in the way that the panels are arranged on the page to tell several stories at once. The colors are vivid. And, best of all, Batwoman feels like a real flesh and blood woman, who happens to be rich, gay and troubled by the fact that as a child she witnessed the death of her mother---very much like Batman, in fact, except that the homosexuality is not sublimated or closeted. I can not recommend this one highly enough. It's too bad that Gena Davis is not ten years younger. She would be a perfect Batwoman.
