Movies are a different game since they bring in more viewers than comics fans. None of the reviews of the Cap America movie mentioned WW or any other comic book character active in WWII. However, in the movies, Cap got there first. When a WW movie comes out, the reviews will mention the Captain America movie and in the eyes of the movie-going public, the WW movie will be derivative. Likewise, any JLA movie review will mention the Avengers. Like it or not, DC comics is playing catch up to Marvel.
