from NRA types and much of that is post-Zimmerman. The comments section on the original story are very interesting - the tone was strongly against Dooley. After Zimmerman not so much.

I was a little surprised that they got such a quick conviction since they had testimony that Dooley had turned away from the confrontation and was jumped. It may be, at the end of the day, race trumps every other consideration.

Obviously the case serves as a touchstone for the Zimmerman trial.
