7. At least LeBron came back in the game and scored an important 3.

Bonds leaves game with leg cramp

By Barry M. Bloom / MLB.com

SAN FRANCISCO -- Barry Bonds was replaced by a pinch-runner during the eighth inning of San Francisco's 3-2 victory over the Dodgers at SBC Park on a chilly Monday night because of cramping in his right leg.

Bonds seemed to be favoring the leg after he ran hard to first on a grounder to shortstop that ended the sixth inning. The Dodgers' Cesar Izturis barely threw him out on the play. The following half inning as he stood in left field, Bonds repeatedly stretched both legs in between pitches.

Giants trainer Stan Conte said that Bonds could have remained in the game but was taken out for precautionary reasons. Bonds was replaced by Michael Tucker after Odalis Perez walked him intentionally with two out in the eighth.

"We'll re-evaluate him tomorrow, but we think he'll be able to play," Conte said.

Giants manager Felipe Alou said that Bonds was taken out of the game for "health reasons."

"He wanted to stay in," Alou said. "He played three innings with it."

Bonds has missed 10 of the team's first 70 games, some of them because of an ear infection and a back ailment. He's batting .360 with 18 homers and 39 runs batted in.

Bonds was 1-for-3 in Monday night's game. He led off the fifth inning with a double to left-center field and scored moments later on Edgardo Alfonzo's single to make it 1-1 at the time.
