Davey Johnson and Joe Maddon on pinetargate [View all]

So I guess everyone knows about Perralta of the Rays getting thrown out for too much Pine Tar on his glove. Something the Nats apparantly knew about from his days with DC.
It caused a little war of words between the managers. And maybe some of the funniest Grumpy old man comments on both sides you will hear:

The Davey Johnson and Joe Maddon war of words started out fun. Madden calls Johnson a coward, Johnson calls Maddon a weird wuss. Everybody laughs and we add some fun phrases to the list of potential T-shirts.

But now it’s just getting ridiculous.

“I don’t want to get in a shouting match with Joe,” Johnson told the media yesterday. “I looked him up on the Internet and found out he has a Tweeter, so he can get to more people than me.”

Johnson saying “tweeter” instead of Twitter is an adorably old man thing to do. Then, Maddon responded with his own “tweeter” quote.

Watch the video. Too funny. Davey has been calling twitter "tweeter" for awhile now (all the Nats fans now use that term) but to hear Maddon do it is hilarious. Oh and Johnson and his "Weirdwuss" comment are pretty funny as well.
