no. To your question.

I keep my sound on mute unless I have headphones and since my current set is broken I keep it on mute all times. The sound quality is very poor on this PC(without headphones) and I hate listening to my computer make boot-up noise and unsolicited noise such as tacky websites & auto-load standard video websites such as ESPN.com.

Sorry for all that, I didn't because I rarely use my PC to make sounds, especially w/ no headphones. So I'm the last person qualified to speculate on how she came across during the 9/11 call.
