Let me explain it a little more for you: People who are season ticket holders have a greater stake in the team's fortunes and are more likely to be informed and less likely to be reactionary. Every single owner in any sports league puts more weight behind the opinions of the season ticket holders than the fans as a whole. None of them say it so bluntly though.
