3. Their style of play reminds me a lot of the early 1970s Knicks

- a team that also excelled at passing, assists, and a cooperative style of play. Even with several superstars on the team (their starting 5 are all in the Hall of Fame), they checked their egos at the door and played with and for each other.

The selfless teamwork of the Spurs was a joy to watch in this series. Immediately after the Heat had been humiliated with three straight blow-outs, the talk about getting a better "supporting cast" for god-man Lebron James started up. Blecch. I hope to see more teams emulate the Spurs' formula instead.
