Where did I say I ate meat? You have to make up lies to support your weak argument.
The fact is horse racing is on its last legs, deny it if you want it won't change a thing.
There is already talk of closing pimlico, the Preakness will be no more within a few years. Look what
happened to Hollywood Park, same thing that happened to Bay Meadows up north. How much longer do you think Golden Gate fields will be around? Not long old man, it's going to be developed for housing sooner rather than later. The needs of society trump the needs of the very few (and growing fewer as you die off) fans of horse racing.
Face it. You guys are dinosaurs just like the old men who used to watch the roosters in the south not too long ago. 20 years ago cockfighting was legal in several states and accepted family entertainment after church on Sunday, now it's a federal felony.
Horse racing is going the same route, all it's going to take is one more gruesome breakdown on national tv to put the cruelty in the public eye.
Times change, old habits die hard but this country has left you old farts behind.
I actually feel sorry for you bitter old folks, nothing better to do than amuse yourselves watching the ponies. Why don't you find a better way to pass your time like working in a homeless shelter?
