I disagree with the entire article. I do not think the comment from FIFA was sexist. It did not say Alex Morgan was easy on the eyes; it said her style of play was easy on the eyes. I also disagree with the statement that Alex Morgan is the "the engine that keeps the team humming, and no one on the field is able to impact a game as well as her.".

Maybe what I have seen this world cup is due to Morgan coming off of an injury, but she has not been the most important player on the field for the U.S. There have been a number of players who have impacted the game in a greater way than Morgan. Megan Rapinoe and Carli Loyld have been much more important to the team and have impacted games much more than Morgan. If Morgan was not on the team they would likely still be in the final; however, take out either Rapinoe or Loyld and the team could have been booted from this tournament much sooner.
