3. I took my kids to their first Red Sox game tonight.

They got to see the rare site of Ortiz playing the field at home (when he didn't HAVE to) and even more amazing, a Rick Porcello win.

How messed up do things have to be when you look at your roster and decide that putting a 39 year old guy at first base, who hasn't played more than 85 innings in the field in a season since he was in his 20's, is what's best for your team.

If you find yourself in that spot, and it's not barring a long series of catastrophic injuries, then it's your GM that fucked up.
