The IBF has stripped him, with the "official" reason being that he hadn't signed to fight their " #1" contender .....which is obviously baloney, considering that: (a) he had just won the championship; and (b) Klitschko has a re-match clause from the contract for their first fight.
In reality, the IBF was attempting to be the only commission to get a large pay-day from the defense they insisted upon. No other commission was going to go along with their nonsense. By making their "title" open for their fighter to win, they hope to make money. Nothing more, nothing less.
I think that Fury vs Wilder will happen in September, possibly sooner. And I think it will be a high-quality heavyweight title fight. Not a Frazier vs Ali, obviously, but one of the most interesting in the past two decades. The build-up will be outstanding, and the fight could easily be intense. At this point, I think it will end in a knockout in around 3 or 4 action-packed rounds. And either man could win.
Thanks for asking. I appreciate that!
