Coronavirus gives WWE's Vince McMahon legal double trouble [View all]

More legal problems for WWE CEO Vince McMahon.

TMZ reports Oliver Luck, who had been the commissioner of the XFL, is suing McMahon for wrongful termination.

Two weeks ago, McMahon had to pull the plug on the XFL, with the football reboot going belly-up after being shut down because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The news isn’t much better for McMahon’s wrestling operation. Despite Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis declaring the WWE an “essential business,” TMZ reported six days ago that McMahon had to slash salaries and payroll. The cuts included furloughs, as well as the release of five wrestlers.

Making matters worse, Yahoo Sports reported Tuesday “an anonymous WWE employee voiced safety concerns regarding the company’s taped shows to the Orange County (Fla.) Board of County Commissioners.”
