21. I agree with main thesis, but since when is playing an option "cutesy"?

Christ, do any fucking football writers even have a clue as to the history of the game? The option offense was pretty much it until they allowed the forward pass, and it was still pretty much the game until the 1940s. Quarterbacks running the ball in an era of 330-pound lineman and linebackers who can rip arms off is hardly "cutesy." In fact, that's kind of the definition of "smashmouth."
