My prediction for Peyton Manning............... [View all]

I've seen it a thousand times in the NFL.

A long time legend joins another team and flames out spectacularly.

There have been exceptions. Montana didn't do half bad in KC---but he clearly wasn't the Joe of old times.

Here's the thing about Manning.

Dude had major surgery on his neck...4 to be exact. The most serious was the cervical fusion.

Guys---that's some serious shit.

Now---if he was a young pup a couple of years into the league... I'd give him a better chance to come back strong.

But he is not---dude is football old at 36.

This is what I think will happen.

Manning will be efficient this season and no more---and he won't be close to the Peyton Manning that has a career rating of 94.9.

And here's my bold prediction. He will go down hard by mid-season and either miss the rest of the season, or most of it.

Why?

Because guy's like Marino, Favre, Manning, ---they don't get sacked for one reason----instinct and the step-up and sideways movement in the pocket.

When Marino lost that ability---he was done. ---I think Manning will lose it just like Marino.

Then again---who the fuck really knows.
