They’ve been kissing their asses or some of the worst dictator since they’re founding. They have hosted tournaments in Mussolini’s Italy, Argentina under the Junta, Putin’s Russia, Qatar, and in 2034 it will be held in Saudi Arabia. Since they control the world’s most popular sport, they don’t care and can make money regardless they just don’t care what people think. This is just a bad attempt at damage control.
