as you know i am a crow master, or something.

i watched what started as a pair grow to 3 pairs, which i am told is critical mass to build the big nests, and rear a clutch. usually an established pair recruits younger helpers.
it was fun to listen to them calling and forming up.
i cemented my demented image by not only yelling, but getting the local kids to yell.
i am getting kinda good at their little echo tests.

they do seem to coming back from west nile here. i was told there is also a nest going on the next block. super, super excited. we used to have big murders, but they literally fell out of the air in 2002. this is the first nest that i have noticed. have seen a few birds the last few years.

need to take a wander and see if i can find a nest. got a basic echolocation on them.
