to black oiled sunflower seed in the column feeder and I was treated to seeing a pair of goldfinches and a rose breasted grosbeak after a couple days.

But the common little sparrows are fascinating, too. They are fun and interesting to watch how they interact. Once I saw an adult bird feeding another adult bird that seemed to be injured and couldn't fly too well. Compassionate little creatures!
