1. Maybe put up an Owl (fake) or pic of an Owl to keep them from smacking into the house?

We had a problem w/ wood peckers attacking our cedar paneling on our house in the Ozarks, so we put up some pie pans (alum. ones) that seemed to do the trick.

Good luck to you and at least, you are giving a decent after life memorial to the blue tit.
