1. I woke up the other night and my cat was flipping out about something. She sleeps on the bed on

my dresser right in the window. I got up to see what it was. Usually just a neighbor cat, but I couldn't see anything at first. Then I could just make out a little like brown lump in the grass. About the time I focused on it, it shot straight up like a rocket! It was one of these little owls we have here. It probably caught a beetle or something out in the open. There are thousands of those around but you usually never see them.
