3. Well, I saw them. But I found out the good & bad of using bow hunter's blinds...

 

I saw half a dozen deer within 100 yds, but had no shooting lanes that far out. Heh. The only shot I had available was of a yearling I decided to pass on. But the population seems far better than prior years (i.e., fewer deer), and they are in better shape; one legal buck was checking his scrape under a tree at the edge of a 40 acre oat field. Pretty brazen! Will be out again in December, maybe in Uvalde County
