2. It's weird when they close popular rides.

I live about an hour south of Busch Gardens in Tampa. My son has a pass, so we go often.

Last year, they announced they were closing the Scorpion ride, one of their oldest. It’s not the biggest or wildest, but we liked it, and rode the hell out of that ride on the last day (I think I rode 7 times and he went another couple when I hit the restroom or to refill our water thingie).

Now, it’s just a gravel area where they’re putting another ride—eventually.

They also closed the Stanley Falls flume (now just dry but haven’t started tearing it apart yet). That leaves a lot of kiddie rides and a few rollercoasters, with a lot of repetitive junk shops in between. Given the massive amount of walking, it’s becoming less enticing, for sure (I shattered my knee years ago, so walking that far can be an issue, and my son’s missing a leg, though he’s far more agile on crutches than I am walking). They’re going to have to really offer something worthwhile to entice us into another year pass.
